This clip shows an Indian head we got from the garden centre a few years ago and painted with Wildfire UV invisible paints. In the clip it it is lit three different ways - white light, colour changing LEDs and UV (both strobe and fixed).
Its worth mentioning that Wildfire paints do not react to UV LEDs as the LEDs do not really produce light in the UV wavelenght.
We use the paints quite a lot in our banner art. It needs about 5-6 coats otherwise it looks a bit scrappy, so they are not very good for detail work.

  • What kind of UV strobe light are you using? Great work! thanks for sharing.

  • @rachelphoenix - its not actually a strobe, its a dodgy old 12 inch UV fluorescent tube which is on its last legs , so flickers erratically. I kept just to use with this particular piece of art. I do have a UV few strobes, but they are LED and unfortunately they don't work with wildfire paints. They are great with everyday fluro paint, but not the invisible stuff.

  • very cool. what's the music? so realxing

  • I don't remember which track it is but it is from the Album "east of the River Ganges" by the Kuma Mela Experience.- released by Dragonfly records.

  • Sorry, that's the Kuma Mela Experiment

  • safe on skin?

  • I don't think it would work too well on skin but really don't know. It takes many coats to get a good effect. The label states "conforms to ASTM D4326 - No Health labeling required".
