Croydon: on the edge of riot

Cycling through Croydon at 8pm on Mon 08-Aug-2011, just before the riots really kicked off. The police have cordoned off streets, and most shops have closed early. Saw a looter blatantly stealing a bike, with a police car nearby.

@leila1sky - I've just finished a nightshift in Croydon, and witnessed first hand the types of people rioting and looting. Are you telling me that a bunch of 14 and 15 year olds are smashing in to shops and walking out with a TV are doing it because they are frustrated due to goverment cuts?

Some people may be out of work, but does that justify ruining other peoples livelyhoods? THINK before you type.
