Here is some of my collection of working model Steam Engines, mostly Mamod but also including two SEL engines.

My Mamod collection contains a Minor 1 with spirit burner, Minor 2 with spirit burner, an SE1 with a replacement twin wick burner courtesy of Forest Steam, an SE 2 in its aquired condition also with spirit burner and not forgetting in the centre of the table my all important and Majestic twin cylinder SE 3, once the flagship for the Mamod range of stationary engines complete with its original and huge spirit burner ( a tramps dream !!!). The Minor 1, Minor 2 and the SE1 have all been stripped and rebuilt by myself as they were all in a terrible and unappreciative state when I aquired them, still not perfect but presentable and useable I think. Heat resistant black paint for the fireboxes and the best colour matches I could find for the bases and engine frames being BMW Bright Red and Ford Highland Green.

My two little green based SEL engines (made by Randall, later Merit) are the 1540 Standard single cylinder model and the 1550 Major twin cylinder model, both dating from I think the mid 1950s and yet these little engines still have the original brass filler funnels, twin wick spirit burners, also each engine has its box and they are both in original condition so far as I am aware.

The two Steam Tractors in my collection are both the Mamod TE1a models and both examples sport "Road Tyres". The example on the right is my meths fuelled and rather well worn "work horse", still in a good working and serviceable condition today apart from a seized water level plug which I have decided to leave well alone for the time being. The TE1a on the left however dates from around 1978 and is as yet unfired and in mint condition, it came complete with its original box and steering extension, fuel, filler funnel etc. This model is in the later and darker "Brunswick Green" it has a water level sight glass and a solid fuel burner, she also sports a brass chimney cowl, brass boiler bands with running boards and a scale detailed brass bucket !!!.

Thank you so much for viewing this clip and taking the time to read the description also.
