Back in 2005, John Mayer already had two successful "pop" albums under his belt, so he decided to move his music in a new direction. He wanted to pay homage to the great musicians of his childhood days. So he formed the John Mayer Trio to play, what he called, "power rockin', electric guitar, in-your-face blues."
I first saw him perform this song in a video clip posted on the front page of CNN.com. I was blown away by the awesome Stratocaster tone and chord progressions that reminded me of Jimi Hendrix AND Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Studio aces Pino Palladino (on bass) and Steve Jordan (on drums) completed the "Trio".
In March 2006, John Mayer had announced that the "Trio" had played their final performance at a concert.
