too much vibrato for my humble musical tastes, if i may. the vibrato is trembling, too much tighten and the bow puts too much accent into it, i am sorry because i really love Maisky in about everything he does but this! this gets caricatural... i am used to a smoother, may be more romantic interpretation

It's good to have this interpretation featuring Mischa in order to go back to Parisot, so I'm glad the privilige to hear both and more Villa-Lobos music!

I don't think that it was forced, and even though, this playing was in memory of Mstislav Rostropovich, what in my opinion justify a performance with more expression,

!!! I'm with you!!! Ab-so-lute-ly right!!! This was written as ENSEMBLE piece. The other good ercording of modern times is by the Berlin 12 cellists. Also a very good job.
