I completely agree with the pandering of Iowa. It is very disappointing to see Obama and McCain (who was anti-ethanol in 2000) betray their judgement for political purposes. But that's the way it is in American politics.
It's just mindboggling to see that putting food in their cars doesn't strike people as retarded. Our government tried and it backlashed, we now have a ban on fuels extracted from edible resources.
No one is implying that withdrawel will lower the oilprices. It's easy to invent a strawman and knock it down.
The damage is done. The war was a strategic blunder and was the catalyst for the skyrocketing of oilprices. The oilprices will NOT stop rising. The American government need to get their shit together and look for alternatives and stop the addiction on oil.
