Old Man's Child
La banda fue fundada en 1993, pero sus orígenes se remontan hacia 1989; cuando Galder, Jardar y Tjodalv eran miembros de la banda de Death/Thrash Metal metal "Requiem". Después la banda "Requiem cambia su nombre y es ahí cundo se forma Old Man´s Child. Desde 1993 la banda ha cambiado en todos sus integrantes excepto Galder (antes llamado Grusom) quien ha permanecido desde que la banda se fundó.

En 1996, la banda firmó un contrato con Century Media, quien distribuiría sus discos por todo el mundo, atrayendo la atención de nuevos fans.

En el año 2001, Galder ingreso a Dimmu Borgir, banda en la cual aun permanece, pero sin dejar de lado a Old Man´s Child.

El nombre de la banda; "Old Man's Child" hace referencia a "El Hijo Del Diablo".

El 9 de julio del 2008, Old Man´s Child anunció que comenzarían a grabar su séptimo disco de estudio el 8 de septiembre del 2008.

"Old Man´s Child comenzara a grabar el 8 de Septiembre. La grabación sera en el Studio Fredman una vez mas y es el álbum donde Galder empleara mucho de su tiempo, mas que en las otras producciones. Este álbum tendrá un sonido muy crudo y oscuro, mas que en los otros trabajos de Old Man´s Child.

Slaves of the World is the 7th studio album by Norwegian black metal band Old Man's Child. The album is set for a May 18th release in Europe and a May 19th release in North America via Century Media Records. The album was recorded in the fall of 2008 at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström. All instruments were recorded by Galder with the exception of drums, which were manned by Peter Wildoer (Darkane).

The album was leaked to the internet on early April, 2009.

The album is available for pre-order as an exclusive package deal with a Slaves of the World T-shirt, or as a limited edition Digipak with a bonus track, a re-recorded version of the classic song "Born Of The Flickering" from the "Vermin" album sessions (previously only released in Japan), and alternative cover artwork.

Comment from Galder: "So finally the new album, 'Slaves Of The World', is about to be released! It has been a long ride in preparing this but I am really proud of the results! It marks to be one of the OMC albums I put the most advance planning and dedication into! I can't wait for you all to hear the record!!!"
