Chris shows us his own unique twist on New England style clam chowder. The smokiness of the bacon is a perfect match to the distinctive flavor of the clams. The richness of the cream and root vegetables makes this soup hearty and delicious. The toasted bread bowl not only adds a wonderful presentation to the chowder but is also a tasty accompaniment. This is an easy recipe that makes a great soup.

  • great job homie!

  • @Dimsonny Also loved the porn music in the background for the bachelor chef

  • he sure "took his thyme" with the video

  • I thought he skipped few steps for firstimers who try to learn to cook chowder.

  • @nmassar why not!? As a stranger told me cooking is easy you just put in what you think tastes good, and experiment from there. :) Bacon is SO good though!

  • While I'm sure this is a tasty chowder it deviates quite a bit from the traditional clam chowder. New England food is supposed to be simple with few seasonings. All you need for clam chowder is saltport or bacon, onions, potatoes, clams, clam juice and cream. If that's too plain you can add some salt to bring out the briny taste of the clams.

  • best 8$ i have ever spend though......

  • can i exchange the bacon with another kind of meat?

  • san francisco !!!! 8 bucks for the breadbowl...haha

  • i'm makeing clam chowda tomorrow and your recipe is my insperation
