The original song may be Taiwanese or something else, but Rin is definitely singing in Japanese here.

It's Japanese. It's just a different translation for the song than the Meiko version.
See the hiragana and katakana in the song lyrics? Oh hell, just read the video's title. It says "Nihongo kaba" or in English: "Japanese cover".
You really need to brush up on your Asian languages.
