This hard drive's interface seems like old notebook's IDE do you have any idea if could be replaced with a notebook's ide hdd?

lolz i just ripped one of these open due to broken lcd. it had been sitting in a wardrobe for 2 years and cause i have an ipod touch and its no use i decided to rip the bastard open and its in about 1000 pieces now lol. got the harddrive out intact though, is it any use for anything?

I was just trying to download the wrek of the Edmond Fitzgerald and my MP3 went down. Is it sabatuge? The screen is black. I might have uploaded to mscE and tried to transfer back the thing is dead now how do I fix?

I did end up finding the problem, It doesn't charge through usb, so I had to find an ac adpter, it works now. As far as your problems goes I'm not sure I have a 2gb Gogear, but I have no reason to open it :( and Its my step moms :O
