Wemindji, Quebec: 1972-3. Robert F. Visitor, Cree troubador, sings his songs protesting the Hydro-Quebec La Grande project, a diversion of large rivers for electric energy. His songs include country and religious music. This film is a montage of his presence in Wemindji and a recording that was studio engineered for a CD, now released. The music of "Bobby" Visitor is available from Wemindji Community Radio, (819) 978-3017 or by e-mail radio@creenet.com. The video was edited from 16mm camera work in the studios of RTS Canada, www.rtscanada.com.
this is my father singing, the only thing i dont like about this is all the backround voices they added to the original song, in my opinion it takes away from the feeling of the original version, but thats just me

Fine archival footage -- invaluable, and the music gives the video a warm, rich feeling.
