HISTORIC chimes at an Aberdeen landmark have sounded for the first time in more than half a century.
The Old Town House, pictured, was given an £800,000 revamp four years ago.
But the project did not include funding the restoration of the chimes, which ring when the clock strikes every hour.
But a campaign was launched, lead by area councillor Richard Robertson and Old Aberdeen
Heritage Society.
A total of £2,000 was raised to get the chimes working again.
