actually the New Zealand accent is derived from the Scottish and English accent. But mostly Scottish :)

It makes me laugh how Aussies who try to mock the New Zealand accent always fail miserably. They think they've got it spot on and think they're hilarious, but in reality they sound and look like idiots!
