Let's Play Perfect Dark w/ Enemy Rockets #17 - Time to Head Upwards

After a long interval of time, I finally managed to complete the next Perfect Dark solo mission. This one took a long time to just figure out how exactly to go about doing this level. After I got the strategy down, actually executing the mission went from extremely difficult down to just...difficult. This mission actually took me over 12 minutes to complete, but I cut out some insignificant footage and shortened it to 11 minutes. Enjoy!

After a mysterious disappearance, Joanna wakes up to find herself in a jail cell aboard a Skedar space craft. To make matters worse, she is in the same cell as Cassandra DeVries. However, after coming to the realization that the Skedar took advantage of dataDyne in their plot to destroy the planet, DeVries kills herself as a distraction to give Joanna Dark a chance for revenge on the alien race. With the help of Elvis and other Maian guards, Joanna must download information from the navigational systems of the craft and control the bridge to nullify the immediate Skedar threat she faces. In order to do this, she must navigate through many cramped hallways and tight rooms filled with rocket launcher-wielding Skedar. Not to mention the fact that Elvis, armed with dual weapons, blasts everything in sight. Can Joanna and Elvis catch the Skedar by surprise and commandeer the attack ship, or will DeVries' sacrifice be all for naught? Find out in this episode.

Note that I cut out footage of backtracking to keep Elvis out of combat. Even though it is mentioned in the video, I wanted to type it here as well to avoid questions about it later.

There's a way to make this mission easier with Enemy Rockets. Once you take that first lift up from the hangar, keep going straight & you'll find a circular room with a Slayer rocket launcher near the back. Set it to Fly By Wire mode & you can avoid direct confrontation!

Oh if you want a really funny fight before you go down the elevator destroy the three computers so that elvis can come in and two other alians as well. when you head down elvis will greet you. while hes talking run up the ramp to initiate the skedar fight. run back to elvis. as the skedar come out the aliens will fight for you. The funny thing is though is that both the aliens and skedar have the roket launcher and it becomes an explosive fight. I also love how elivis is duelwelding rockets.

Yeah, they also made the second levels really indepth and a good intro as to what the games were really about... even better than the openings.

The developers of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark have a thing to make the second last level really hard. They did the same thing in Time Spittlers. And the last levels are easier.
