Planes about to land on beach!

As commercial aircraft come in to land, they fly super low over the beach at the end of the runway at Princess Julianna International Airport on the Netherland Antilles island of St Maarten (also known as St Martin) in the Caribbean.

This movie shows a number of commercial aircraft including A319s, A320s, A330, A340, B737s, and B757s coming in just above the beach.

The planes are literally 20-feet above the beach as they come in to land. There's no trick photography or optical illusions!

I have filmed the planes coming in to land and then taken screen captures so you can see exactly how low the aircraft are over the beach. It's pretty cool!!

St Maartens is in the Netherland Antilles in the Eastern Caribbean.

  • I wouldn't just stand there, I'd duck for cover! What if one of those planes came and hit someone? Very unlikely, but I'd do it to be safe.
