What Does Atheism Have to Offer?

@nappyhead828828 outside the literal physical meaning there is nothing but semantics. Collecting sticks to cook your food on a saturday is called a sin in the old testiment, punished with death by stoning. Why kill someone for gathering sticks to cook their food? How do they even KNOW which day is really saturday? Religion is mass madness, created by insane people who heard voices in their head, and saw things that are not real.

is sin really imaginary? are demons really imaginary? metaphorically no. you just have to think outside the box of the literal physical meaning.
does a man not feel bad when he kills another man out of cold blood? that could be sin
is the rapist that preys on innocent children not a demon?
i think religion can offer MANY good things. some things that sometimes have to be read "in between the lines".

if that is the case atheism is right there....

i'm not a christian, but you can take any form of religion completely literal, completely metaphorical, or a little of both.
i've never believed in devils or demons in the physical form, but we sure do have them in a metaphorical form.
would you really want to tell your kids do whatever you want in life, and uhh treat other like you would want to be treated.
thw golden rule doesn't cover as much as many people think

phsysical eye you say?? PF...i don't think any of us have seen your cranium...so by the logic that you're going by..you clearly have no brain. -That's how pitiful you sound.

HI!
I know religen can be cold,so some of the Christian .But true God of Christian is God of mercy ,love, compasion .I was so lost living
my way doing wrong things,no matter how happy i was there was void emptines something missing, one thing i know that there is God who changed me,saved me ,and i know that He gives everyone time to Choose Him,but little Children go to Him always and He is the God of love we cant even comprehend. He is alive and Im a real proof of life changed by Him.
John 3;16
Proudfootz, you took 3 1/2 minutes to say practically nothing in a very convoluted manner. Atheism offers the truth of our reality, of our existance. Relgion is an ancient human fabrication to explain the unknown. It has been replaced by science, a logical and consistant and verifiable means of answering the unknowns. We dont have to free people from hell, or from contrived sins, or from the wrath of gods, or from control of demons, because those things are not real. Religion is a lie.

Exactly - atheism frees people from religion.
In addressing sin, guilt, the terrors of hell, etc I am talking about the kinds of things that prey on the minds of many millions of people in an effort to reach them.

there are some crazy and sick evil people in this world that would try to fuck you over for no reason that may seem apparent, maybe for their own greed or benefit.
with your logic and reason, you wouldn't teach your kids about drugs, bad guys, strangers, guns, violence, persecution, racism, or discrimination. which are defiantly demons (metaphorically)
because it would be better not to tell them cause you dont want them to worry? are you kidding. by that logic we would have alot of dead kids

I don't deny there are bad things in the world.
But it seems senseless to invent imaginary things to worry about like sin, heaven and hell, witches and demons.

dude, all that is imagination. Let's talk about the reality. God does exist. He is a Spirit(therefore He can not be seen with the physical eye) and those that want to worship Him must do so in spirit and truth. Whether you like it or not Hell does exist and it is better to depart from the road that leads there. That is the best thing anyone can do for themselves

God and Hell exist? I'm more persuaded that these things that 'cannot be seen with the physical eye' are better described as imagination than the physical world.
