Thanks for posting this. I live on West Camino Cielo and left on the 2nd. Now I can't even go home...

Great job! Thanks for showing some reference points like the highway and the intersection up to Painted Cave? It gives those who know the area but may not be there an idea where the fire is. More, more!

A very good video, and gutsy challenge.
Good to have people are very courageous!

This is a very good video, thanks for taking
the time to do this. Exellent!
was this the gap fire or the Jesusita fire? my dads home got about 100 feet from getting burned down in Jesusita.
Firefighters are true heroes.
On the sideline most of the time, but when they're there, you're damn glad they are.

@OM3N1R " .. Yes, this was the Gap Fire. I visited the Command at Earl Warren Showgrounds, and spoke with some of the fire fighters. Amazing young men & women, working incredibly long hours under such extreme conditions. They are truly "Hero's" .. It was absolutely amazing to watch this Helo pilot flying in and out of the smoke & flames with winds strong enough to knock my camera & tripod over. 'Glad to hear your dads house survived Jesusita.'
