  • Fresh ideas - stop relying on rugby and farming would be a good start. Weta Digital have shown that Kiwis are not all gumboot wearing rednecks - that we are capable of achieving great things and competing with the big boys so lets get on with it. Try something new for once. Stuff the bloody cow sheds in the Mackenzie Basin - build a bloody big film studio in the Sth Island and get some of our talented and highly creative people into work and onto the world stage.

  • Phil couldn't run a raffle.

  • Economists would not agree, and that is our problem. How do you support jobs when the capital is not there? Obama did it but we went the blue ribbon path of belt tightening and deathly unemployment. Labour's support base was eroded by too many years of good times creating social complaincency. But it is not just that we must go about "creating jobs" but recognising true value and false values that are the real distortion. Recessions mean we have to reach out more, not recede.

  • thanks phil, really insightful

  • WOW...Good managed to say something without putting his foot in it...Slowly learning eh Goof?

  • we need fresh ides but nobody has them.

i guess thats a fresh idea?

i guess i need some fresh apples right now, no idea why but i need them.

  • great ... but how do you stop the lash and burn mentality that is been expressed by this government and Bill English.

  • Well said Phil!
