@Saladzingers Once you hit 5k revs the whistle stops and the engine just roars. Small children cry, old people clutch at their chests and even atheists pray the world isn't coming to an end.

Picking up a used 2006 1050ST on Friday with less than 10k miles. Same color scheme - agreed it's the best out there. Thx for posting a video with the damn thing running; was about to hit my head against a wall. Too many walk around vids of this thing and the owners never fire them up. Peace.

I'm also saving up for one of these... when I've paid for my wedding!
But one thing bugs me about them - I really don't like the noise! Fair enough, there's a low pitched rumble present - nice - but there's this shrill warbling over the top that sounds like a chinchilla on amphetamines or something. Heard one taking off from Devil's Bridge last monday, just not a good sound. If you whistle at the same time as humming, that gives a pretty good estimation I think! Would need an aftermarket can.

@Saladzingers It's the straight cut transmission gears that give it the unique "whine". I have the Triumph off road muffler on it now, so it has a much deeper tone and sounds better.

I got mine on the 24th June 08, also in Pacific Blue, which has to be the BEST colour. Did you get the ABS version? I originally ordered without but changed my mind before delivery and went for it... you never know when you will need it. Anways, I have put over 250 miles on her in 3 days! Happy riding!

Yes, this is the ABS model. I have over 2,800 miles, and I am very happy with the Sprint!
