is this tuned a whole step up from a standard guitar?? The first bass note you play looks like you're fretting a G but when I play the same fret on MY guitar, it is too low. I just checked my tuning and as far as I know it is in standard...I have never played on a lapstick before, is that a common tuning for one or is it just a personal choice? Either way it is interesting, and I love the arrangement :)

Yes I think I tuned it up a tone for that. The strings are quite short so it's often tuned as much as a third or fourth up.

The idea is great. But why not make it normal scale length? What's the idea of practicing on this thing, if you then have to readjust to get back on a normal size instrument? If it had normal scale length, it would still be small and silent, and therefore serve its purpose/description: practice/travel guitar... :-s

I was disappointed, it only looks like I was whining because I posted twice. That's because the comment didn't appear first time around, so I posted again. Actually the guy did me a big favour, as I got a much better deal on a Traveller Pro today.

Yes, I know I bid for it on ebay. It looked like the guy that beat me was a dealer or trader by the volume of feedback, which is a shame. I think that I would've played that type of guitar a lot.
