Copic Tutorial: Coloring Underwater Scenes

So most of you subscribers should recognize this scene from my 20 pokemon in fifteen minutes video as the drawing of Oshawott. If I recall correctly this tutorial was requested by Twigcrescent back in December- I am so sorry I took so long to upload this D:

I have been pretty busy and this week is a personal art week- I am going to a portfolio review on Sunday the 29th of January and I need to bang out some new artwork to bring with me. Wish me luck; this is for a college!

A lot of you think I have already gone to art school- nope. Not yet, but I will be trying my best to get in to one by this summer.

Water: BV00, BV17, B24, BG72, BG11
Weeds: B39
Oshawott's Ears, Feet and Tail: B24, B26
Oshawott's Face and Arms: BG11
Oshawott's Nose: E13, E29, B02
Oshawott's Body: B02, BG11, B04
Oshawott's Eyes: B39, B26, B04
Bubbles: Same colors as water and Oshawott for reflections.
Border: B39

I have been wondering for a while...what book are you using to reference the pokemon? D:

@StudioVibe It's a Pocket Pokedex for the HeartGold and Soulsilver games. My husband got this one from WalMart for 10 dollars. I didn't use it for this drawing- I just draw oshawott so much I could draw it with my eyes closed. LOL.

For unova pokemon I use pokemondb(dot)net, but I like the book for accuracy with printed colors.

Wow! Amazing! I saw in a copic book that if you color a gradient of blues messily, you could sprinkle rubbing alcohol or colorless blender refill and it would look like that, but its amazing how you got that effect by just coloring normally!

Ooh! Can you do how to color actual water like on the beach? I never knew how to make it look so real.. The white for the reflection confuses me. It would be really helpful ^-^

This was one of my favourites in the video with 20 speed paintings. You explained everything, I wish I could do that, too. :D
