North Carolina Trooper catching notorious criminal not wearing his seat belt "properly"

NC Trooper spending his time ticketing me for the "improper" wearing of a seatbelt (I had the shoulder strap "under" my shoulder instead of over it)..... Lesson learned: don't drive black rental car with out of state plates in NC..... kinda embarrassing that the day after the worst tornado disaster in NC history that State troopers spend their time doing this kind of revenue generation.....

obviously most of you are law officers that have posted... and I don't have a problem with you or your responsibilities... however, wasting the taxpayers money and your own time catching people wearing their seat belts under their arm in a rental car shd be an embarrassment to all officers.... especially the day after a tornado has hit the area and you are out patrolling the freeways looking for ridiculous reasons to pull someone over.... we call that by another name in Texas... :>)

Wearing your seatbelt like he explained is very dangerous. If you were involved in a collision your ribs would most likely snap, possibly puncturing your lungs. Wearing it over your shoulder would give more force resistance. If you were wearing the seatbelt correctly, or at all, you wouldnt have received the ticket, dumbass. If you dont like our laws do everyone that lives here a favor and get the hell out.

probally never thought of the fact that if you wear it under you arm and you are in a serious collision that normally a seat belt would keep you from getting hurt, your ribs could be crushed along with your internal organs because of the belt being under your arm....by that trooper giving you the ticket and educating you on the proper way to wear your belt could very well save your life one day if you hed his advice. keep up the good work ncshp!

For those that don't want to to wear them or improperly. It's the most selfish thing to do. When a Trooper has to tell your family that your dumb @#! Couldn't figure out how to properly wear one or choose not to therefore you died! Think about your family and friends and what you'll be putting them through for years to come! he was a nice officer.... although..the seat belt laws in general are just a money maker for the state. They kill just as many people as they save. My moms best friends seat belt jammed and the lady burned to death because she couldnt get out.. sad...

@scottkstegall I like Texas, I bet DPS writes a bunch of tix there too. Thanks for visiting NC. Kinda embarrassing a grown man doesn't know how to wear a seatbelt. If that was your 16 year old, would you want the Trooper to ignore them and then minutes later, they are hurt or killed bc of not using or properly using a seatbelt? Its a law bc people get hurt. Medical costs are expensive. Blame insurance if you dont like it.
