Israel protests: demands for social justice

A summer of protests against rising house prices and living costs culminated last weekend with around half-a-million Israelis joining protests across the country.

Nationwide ire was first sparked by a hike in cottage cheese prices, before long it spread to housing.

Protesters also used Facebook to air grievances about the cost of transport, childcare, food, fuel and low salaries.

At first authorities tried to paint the protesters as leftists, but then commissioned a task force to find answers.

What kind of solutions will the task force come up with?

@Amkies If there was justice in the world, innocent people would not be abused, kicked out of their homes and driven into poverty, all for the crime of not being jewish. I hope that one day the victims of Holocaust will see the parrallels between Apartheid Israel and Nazi Germany.

Not in '48, not now, Arabs were expelled from their homes. Like I said before, they fled by the fear of the Arab armies' attempt to overrun Israel (I will link you on demand, so you'll know I'm not shitting you).

The 6 days war began after 19 years of incessant attacks on Israel's indefensible borders in '67. Here, have it in simple English, forgive the Hebrew accent:

@SerratedXx True. Thats why my complaint is less for the youth of the world (most people wont really go too deep into matters most of the time), and more to the "responsible adults" which are supposedly the media and the politicians...

I'm not sure what you mean recent events though... unfortunately stuff are happening in this region all the time (and the biggest right now are not even directly connected to israel). The most exceptional thing in Israel's behavior is actually this protest... :)
