The address became internationally popular because of using footage of a same-sex marriage of two New York homosexuals Brendan Fay and Tom Moulton. It's been broadcast on Polish TVP1 on March 17 2008.

Text:

Dear ladies and gentleman,

in June last year I negotiated a good treaty for our country to reform the EU. Despite the pressure of the larger European countries to accept the solutions that were previously proposed, we succeeded in pushing through all the important articles for Poland: the good Nice voting system until 2017, the Ioannina compromise, which makes it easier to block bad decisions for our country, the energy solidarity protecting us from extortion and keeping the primacy of Polish law over the EU's. It pays to be firm in defending the Polish interest. Thanks to this attitude the previous government succeeded to eke out 67,5 billion Euro from the EU. Today, these funds, together with Polish contributions, are changing the face of our country. Poland comes out of the civilizational collapse after the era of communism and takes up the chance for civilizational advance. But not everything in the EU is necessarily good for Poland. According to experts some articles in the so-called Charter of Fundamental Rights could, with unpredictable decisions of the European Court of Justice, lead to many German claims against Polish citizens demanding restitution or compensation for property left on the western and northern territories which came to Poland after World War II. Another article in the Charter could, because of the absence of a clear definition of marriage as a relation between man and woman, threaten the moral order in Poland and force our country to introduce institutions contradicting the moral views of the decided majority in this country.

Thanks to the firm stand of our delegation we succeeded in protecting Poland from these dangers. This is guaranteed by the so-called British Protocol, a key part of the treaty signed by us. I also want to say clearly that anything that is valuable in the Charter of Fundamental Rights, for example the protection of labour rights, is guaranteed by national laws. The Treaty of Lisbon negotiated by me could stabilize the position of Poland in the EU and unite countrymen from all political sides who wish to have a strong Poland in Europe. Unfortunately the national consent in this case has been broken. One week after signing the treaty in my presence the governmental majority declared the desire to retreat from the British Protocol, which means to resign from parts of the fundamental rights and interests of Poland in the Treaty of Lisbon. I wished and still wish a compromise for its ratification. But as the President of the Republic guarding its rights and sovereignty I cannot agree to a voluntary and totally unjustified degradation of the position of our country in the EU. Therefore I will start a Presidential initiative for a ratification law ensuring the inviolability of the good articles for our country in the Treaty of Lisbon and demanding national approval for any changes in its articles. In the Polish legal system this is only possible with a special law designated in the constitution.

Dear People,

there are moments in the life of a nation where one has to forget about party lines and interests and think only about one - about Poland.

Good night!

  • @OR3NG Well, as long as he was stinky, indeed, I feel offended by what You say. I know that poles do take the jobs You may take in Your country, but doesn't it mean that You should try harder finding them? Not every polish is like the dead one presented above.

  • Burn in hell, foul enemy of the Slavs ...

Success Committee of State Security of Russia. Excellent work

  • Rest in god's loving arms and may god bless Poland. From the united states

  • Such a shame this nice man had to die on that there plane, a real mighty shame! He was so full of God's love and grace that maybe, with time, he could have erradicated all the homosexual peoples off the face of the earth, because as we know, they are the biggest threat to humanity as we know it....

Now, read that last paragragh back and realise how stupid you sound: in a world with so much hatred and war, fear and famine, crime and disease, there are still those who think hating gays is right.

  • Kaczynski was a true hero. Anyone who does a small amount of research can recognize that what happened was an assasination. It's too much of a coincidence that so many people who opposed subjugation to this socialist EU order died in the same crash. We see the same attacks to our country's morals, Constitution, and National Sovereignty here in the U.S (not to mention the drastic increase of our National debt as well). It reminds me of Larry McDonald's death in Korean Air Lines Flight 007.
