Do you have Crohn's disease?
You may be eligible to participate in the OPERA study -- a clinical research study evaluating whether an investigational drug (study drug) safety and effectively treats Crohn's disease compared to placebo (looks like the study drug but does not contain any active medication).
The study drug is intended to reduce the inflammation of the intestines, which causes many of the symptoms you may be experiencing.
The OPERA study will also evaluate the best does of the study drug for treating Crohn's disease.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
Are between 18 and 75 years old
Have active Crohn's disease
Have failed to respond to anti-TNF treatments (e.g. Remicade, Humira, Cimzia)
Have failed or are intolerant to immunosuppressants (e.g. methotrexate, azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine)
Participation in the study is voluntary.
