@bakhtn I think now she has all his money. Remember at the beginning the kid was saying that he knows a guy who sells matches by the stairs and that the guy is rich. And the dads like that's ridiculous son.

the voodoo doll story has too many inconsistencies, why didnt she just kill him before instead of getting married then killing him.

They didn't quite manage with the dog! It looks quite happy, wagging its tail! Not like it had seen a ghost - or a homicidal spitting elemental for that matter.
But then at least no animals were harmed during this scene :-) I hate to see things like when horses fall and roll on the ground in cowboy films. Don't know how they make it happen, but it looks nasty.

The shining is a fantastic book and Is better than both screen versions. Jack Nicholson slightly over does the acting
