Adam Lambert in final 2 is great for American Idol - WHAT?

I think it may create a backlash, viewers will suspect that the producers skewed the results and won't watch the show because of that. Also, many people feel that Adam will be more successful on his own, he won't soon be forgotten, like the others will. And whose dumb idea was it to ask Adam which group he belonged in? It was  extemely unfair and embarassing to Adam, who has been a very humble, polite and cooperative contestant. He is responsible for the great ratings Idol has this season.

You exactly echo my sentiments. It's all about ratings, but I still can't believe Adam is at the bottom two after 46 M votes cast. That's just impossible, the producers skewed with the results. He may have not gotten the most votes this week, but it's just inconceivable that Danny, Allison and Kris all had more votes than Adam. Adam has been the most popular and talked about AI contestant ever, the public will not buy this tactic. Boo for the producers of idol.

Guys, the other thing to consider is that AI's viewership is down-ALOT this year and it's May Sweeps time. They needed to do SOMETHING.

I'm not sure where this info came from, but it's not quite true. Idol was down slightly this Tuesday from the previous week (23.26m vs. 23.96m), but it was far from its lowest rated Tuesday ever (that would be the Group 2 performance show from Season 1 w/ 9.07m). It wasn't even the lowest rated Tuesday of this season or the past few weeks (Top 8 Week was 22.81m).

Everything you're saying is so true and OBVIOUS and I can't believe that some ppl r really 'buying' that the Idol trick with Adam is true and transparent and actually HOPING you're right.

As I said, it's so OBVIOUS that all AI ever wanted to achieve with this is to get more money from Adam fans and make show more interesting... and, well, they succeeded, I'll definitely vote now more than ever, but it doesn't mean I'm buying their's c*ap
