For years, PETA has been fielding serious complaints from volunteers, employees, and visitors alleging cruelty and terrible neglect at this so-called "no-kill" facility called All Creatures Great and Small (ACGS) in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Please check this site out and see what you can do to help.

  • I am so glad they finally closed down this hell hole

  • and did you know many that were saved, lol were put down. lol also did you know most of the dogs there were stolen? did you know she also took dogs from the shelter and tie them up in peoples yards with dogs , and file charges against them?

  • woopie one dog you saved was there for 8-5 years theres adog at the humane society thats been there that long. you gonna adopt it to? remember the prison was a last minute plan because Kim waited so long to ask for help. i watched many dogs float down river and die ,. if your so against this go after her,she stillhas many houses in the county, but you people will never find them. but she still has them operating. two were off 280 one in E.ville , one off Crab Creek. .

  • Maybe in some videos. I went to that Hell when they shut it down. After the flood they didn't stay ot the old prison. So, you think this is okay? One of the dogs we saved from there had been there for 8.5 years according to their records. They should have gotten prison time for what they did to these animals.

  • hey morons this is an old prison when the shelter flooded this is not all creatures shelter this was used to hold their dogs when it flooded. FACTS...

  • For years, PETA desperately tried to expose the horrors that these poor creatures were living, and finally, with the help of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, forced North Carolina Department of Agriculture to take meaningful action.

On July 9, 2008, this miserable shelter was finally closed, and 600 sick, abused, and frightened animals were removed, rehomed, and relocated to other shelters with the help of more than 12 rescue groups.
