@Bandfanone Ahh, but what you don't know is that there already is competition within the Ames High music department. The years of 2002-2006 (my years), Ames High Orchestra was at it's height of amazingness, and we were fiercely competitive with the band over who played what.

That was good. Our band does a dance for it to. The one I have up has only the seniors doing it though, because of the limited space. But you guys have a HUGE band, especially compared to ours, lol.:).

Mr. Ewan is a great guy and Ames high has alot to be proud of. This band is competitive, yet it is not a "Competitive" marching band like Ankeny, Waukee, Johnston, Valley, Marshalltown and many others. It's a shame that Ames does not compete with the others and allow their students the thrill of knowing what the others are doing and how they compare. NOT having a actual competitive show they probably wouldn't finish in the top 15 bands in the State. Decent job however.

out school did the same thing but it was for our senior show.
and the seniors dressed up like zombies, it was intense.
but not as good at this, because in our band we have like less than 50 people. lol

such a cool band! my school band wouldn't play Michael Jackson music because there's too many MJ haters here in my town
