I thought she was polish..but also keep in mind one of the signs of true possession is supposed to be speaking in different tongues other than what the native would know, ie english speaking french, german perhaps speaking english, etc... This is an interesting case though for sure, and I have to admit when I heard her speak it didn't sound like a different language, it sounded backwards to me, too. Just sayin' lol.

This is odd. Reverse speech IS a sign of the demonic according to many practices and religions, Aleister Crowley for example. But this doesnt sound specifically in that realm. This is probably the same guy who came up with the idea to reverse Stairway to Heaven. Now Anneliese WAS possesed, and no form of medical science would ever be able to prove otherwise.

The only one we are to worship is Jesus/God, not the virgin mother, he saved us by dying on a cross, we don't have to keep doing things, such as penance to wipe away sins, therefore if you realize that evil spirits are liars, just as Christ called Satan the Father of Lies, then they lied to her and she went with it. poor soul, she should not have done that. They roam around looking for those they can devour! Those are Jesus' words, not mine people!!!!

I believe she was possessed when she accepted the penance and the Mother of God who visited her was actually a very evil spirit, tricking her...nowhere in the bible, nor did Jesus tell us to pray to the virgin mother, nor do penance, it is not in there. Penance is what Jesus DID for us!!!! She was tricked by evil itself, and therefore gained entrance into her soul, therefore the evil is seen on her body and face!!! Demons can speak in any language they want.....
