"Stand By My Men"
Written by Anonymous
The Center for Race Relations at Duke University presents the Me Too Monologues, a show written, produced, and performed by Duke students.
The stories are true, and speak to our everyday experiences related to race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and socioeconomic status.
The Me Too Monologues first debuted on the Martin Luther King Weekend Celebration in January, 2009 and has since been held annually. The 2011 monologues were performed to two packed houses seating more than 600 people.
The stories told during the show are not those of the actors-- they are completely anonymous.
Feel like submitting a monologue of your own? Want to audition for the show? Email metoomonologues@gmail.com for more information!
