Great work! I'm thinking of doing this same process to my vivarium, do u know if the mortar or paint is poisonous? The tank would get very humid and wet... With frogs I side.

@enfinite5 As long as you do the rinse process as i describe in one of my vids. You should be just fine. Good Luck !!

In your case, I would try using the Dry-Lok instead. It would apply more like paint and give it a hard shell. And you can still tint it with the mortar colors.

No, I used ready mix. Although, I would be curious to see if that would help make the cement stronger and give it a better texture.

Well good luck to you, hope you have as much fun as I did. Just remember to lightly sand the foam board, ( to remove the shinny surface ) before you silicone it all together.
