hi. that's nice. i recently have been bird feeding and got cockies coming. it's beutiful. although, they have started to bite the wood on the corner of our tiled roof. do you have similar problems? how to you deal with it? i've stopped putting food out now.

nice LOL I don't think the cocky was bullying. I think he just wanted some food as well! And it isn't illegal to feed wild birds. It is legal but they urge you to follow the proper procedures of feeding them like feeding them the right type ofd food, not over doing it, other basic good practices for feeding wild birds. It only unacceptable if you feed them in some park or zoo that has a clear sign stating not to feed them. But it isn't illegal.

remember when i travelled in Oz thinking how amazing the 'normal' bird life was....cockatoos, lorikeets and friendly kookaburras landing on your patio every day.

OMG!!!!! i cant imagine having that many rainbow lorikeets i have 1 and he drives me insane!!
Holy snot! That's amazing! Here we pay a life for a lorakeet or a cockatoo as a companion. I have a cockatiel, and I think it's great that you can see them out of the cage, flying free.

Our typical day is to have Sulphur-crested Cockatoos, Rainbow Loriekeets, Crimson Rosellas, occasionally Eastern Rosellas and King parrots, Galahs, Wattle birds, Currawongs, Magpies and Butcher Birds.
Also Eastern Whipbird, Plovers, Herons.
Yesterday we had Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos which do not normally come tha close to our house.
