Truth be told, some amateur martial artists believe that strength and speed govern a battle, while strength and speed are somewhat required, they are not always necessary, in the scene at 1:28 we see bruce standing on pylons and being hit repeatedly with bamboo sticks, teaching him that position and footwork in combat can be more effective than how powerful of a punch or kick can be thrown. And also the will to never give up no matter how beaten or battered you may become.

From the time i've seen this scene, it has always inspired me to take my martial arts to the next level. Whenever im tired, or i feel myself breaking down, i remember bruce's training. Also, i remember that if i just train, it is nothing. If i have the will, it is everything.
