A 5cwt power hammer shaping white hot reclaimed wrought iron so that it can be reheated and reworked for future projects. Chris Topp & Co Ltd are based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This footage was taken by Andy Thearle and Martin Smith from Ironart of Bath while attending the Chris Topp open day.

  • nice. I've been experimenting with burning mild steel in a reverberatory furnace to produce iron blooms (partially successful). The small amounts of iron that I make forge like butter.

    This video really shows how soft and workable wrought iron is.
