In this video, we use the NotchingBuddy to notch curved tubing with a lathe.

The NotchingBuddy attaches easily to a tool post or quick change on most common metal lathes. Use your lathes carriage to either power-feed or hand-feed the tube into the holesaw.

Its an easy and precise way of making notches in tubing up to 2" in diameter. The vertical height adjustment of the slide lets you align the tube easily with the holesaw. And with this setup you can easily perform offset notches. The NB100 plate can be removed from the vertical slide so the slide can be used for other milling functions.
