The books are a work of fiction. Hell, WITCHES are fictional. Magic isn't real. And because they're made-up, a writer can invent any rules they want for their fictional stories. The wizards in the Harry Potter series do not get their powers from Satan, and they don't have to. If you want a religious-affirming story about witches worshiping the Devil, go write your own book.

Im really sorry but I understand your reasonings and Im not calling your stupid because it is truly your opinion, but I think saying our books should be ripped out of our hands and we should be slapped in the face is a little crazy to me. Theres a difference thinking you shouldnt TEACH it and READING it in public schools. It's so stupid how people argue over Harry Potter being the devil. It's a fictional novel, for cripes sakes. Harry Potter is not a real character! I'm a Catholic, yet I read the series. I love Hermione, and Harry and Dobby. There are people who need to understand the difference between reality and fantasy. You are an example of the ones who need to understand that.

No one is being force to read HP. dombledor is hardly a" flaiming gay" seeing as the subject isn't mentioned once in the series only in an interview with Rowling. If you hate witchcraft related books you should be attacking the whole fantisy section not just HP. You are free to removing your childen from public education and put them in an anti thinking christian school.
