June 14, 2011, "Dan Rather Reports" presents painful and poignant profiles of Americans who thought they'd done everything right, only to find that the corporate culture that once protected its workers now dismisses them...literally. Many American tech workers told us that even after seeing so many American jobs moved overseas, they had never imagined that they'd be displaced by foreign workers in their own hometowns. Dan Rather Reports airs Tuesdays at 8pm and 11pm ET on HDNet.
Nearly all bosses are this way, not just in IT. If the local Duane Reade manager could dig up some desperate Bangladeshi to stock the shelves via remote control, that labor slot would already now be fulfilled in similar fashion. But let's not talk about scenarios that are 3-4 years off at least

Dan Rather should have balanced this piece by presenting the full facts and not make it into a hate spewing piece against one ethnic group.By the end of this piece one ends up just hating a group of immigrants, which is unfair to them when it is not their fault for wanting to come to the US or being hired. If this story is indeed true then they r victims in this just like any American who might have lost their job.Hating only makes us become shallow & nothing constructive comes out of hate.

While this is sad,it does not tell d whole story.America was founded on Capitalism, which means companies can go werever or hire whoevr boosts their bottomline. And that's d real problem dis segment fails2focus on.Capitalism was&is d basis of evry aspect of US existence. Is capitalism good for d US in a modern age when d once silent countries like India,China, etc, once occupied and repressed by the West, mainly British,r now rising outa d shadows?Hating an entire ethnic group is sad,not der fault.
