i grew up in a neighborhood in Queens and was shocked to see many homes in pre-forclosure on real estate websites. the same amount of mortgage im paying for my home in austin TX is just a fraction of the amount for a much smaller, older home in Queens can buy. its just TOO expensive to live there now.
