his goal is muscle and endurance, so he cant workout just to build muscle he has to up his heart rate as well.

@anticravity because muscular endurance is far MORE important than brute strength in a fight - especially one with 5 x 5 minute rounds.

That seems like such a valiant waste of effort.
He should be squatting, deadlifting, benching, pressing, and he should replace all that Planet Fitness shit with actual cardio and plyometrics.

I don't get it. Why doesn't he do compund movements like bent over rowing, deadlifts, military press and so on? I'd guess that especially martial artists can profit from that kind of exercises.
