Eurovision 2008: Ani Lorak, VERKA & Kirkorov interview

Interview with VERKA and Kirkorov + footage from the press conference.

Verka: We let Ani Lorak go home and sleep. Sat in her restaurant and started partying until morning! In Turkish "Sikidim shmikidim!". And then smoked hookah.

Narrator: In such way silver medallist of Eurovision Verka Serdyuchka gave friendly advices our Ani who waited few years when her name will be announced out of loud on the whole Europe "Ani Lorak! UkrainE!" and now no Greenjolly can stop her!

Ani: Finally all possible elections are over!

Narrator: Last week our representative gave a mini-concert live and finally she will go with Kirkorov's song. To be honest it looked better comparing to other songs from the NF. Almost the whole country wanted to offer help.

Ani: Songs were submitted from different parts of the country. But unfortunately I couldn't "feel" some of them because they represented different genres and styles which I couldn't even imagine ... how can I sing that?

Kirkorov: Our song won. In a few minutes Ani called me and said "we won!" and I replied "everything only begins" and grabbed my head in despair.

Narrator: meanwhile experienced Verka Serdyuchka has a defensive position for Kirkorov's song and supported Ani Lorak.

Verka: Dear friends. Don't discuss "Oh! Where is she going? After Serdyuchka!" Yes! People say that. Before that everybody said: "Where's Serdyuchka going?! Jezuz, on Eurovision! Oh-ho-ho! With her coats, ribbons and drums" They say that all the time. And I say "Friends, let's learn how to be ... human".

Kirkorov: During these 3 months of course everybody will discuss and criticize ... label her, lynch. Our people can do it. I remember in the last year ... poor Andriy Danilko (Verka) ... what he has been through!

Verka: Oh yes!

Kirkorov: yes! Do you remember?!

Narrator: Meanwhile in Russia where representative will be decided during these days... Bilan for the second time or Lazarev for the first time? Yana Rudkovskaya (Dima Bilan's producer) was accused in choosing for Dima a song in Spanish which has been performed earlier by Luciano Pereira in 2006. In the last moment Bilan refused from that song.
