Matt in "Guitar Wars" competition

Me when I was a teenager playing in an electric guitar competition. The content is mostly improv with a lot of licks I picked up as a self-taught kid. I hear some Gilbert licks in there. I quit playing electric guitar when I was 20 or so. Unfortunately, the finale is not here (ran out of tape). 1st prize.

Damn!!....you really were born for be a competition winner!... I also started as a self-taught one, on electric too, but never was able to do that sweep pick. Now i am a classical guitar player too, hope to meet you some day. Incredible musician, i really like your performances!

haha dude i really hope to be like you when i grow up. i still have a TON of work to do until i get to like shred on electric, and i'm working on classical now. i saw you at the asu guitar fest and your performance was AMAZING. you are deffinatley like the best guitarist i've ever seen, and u played some amazing music man
