Samsung has thrown its hat into the waterproof, pocket Internet camera ring with the W200.

  • 2 more questions:

Is it ideal to take on cruises to the caribbean?

And, what is the maximum GB that the MicroSD card can have?

  • @HollisterSupporter Absolutely a good camera to take to the Caribbean, especially to the beach. Can't recall the max SD card but I am sure you can find that on the Samsung website. Probably 32gb, but I am just guessing. I recommend Class 6 or better.

  • Does it work good indoors?

  • @HollisterSupporter Not great, but better than any other camcorder in its class.

  • @CoCoPachTV I tested it in about 3 feet of water and it worked OK. They claim it can go 3 meters.

  • @CoCoPachTV Not so much negative about this camera, but the class in general. You are correct about the sound, but I can tell you that I have not tested another comparable camcorder in this class that has good sound. So, you have to compare apples to apples. For the $100 and change, it is a great value. Even camcorders costing 3 times the price will often have substandard sound. As far as the USB charger, there are aftermarket AC/USB adapters out there.

  • @CruiseReport Thank you for responding quickly,

I doubt that ha to more than 3 months, because here in Brazil is very expensive due to the corrupt Brazilian government,

    the samsung w200 and ZX5 costs about $ 220, that same 220dollars,

I was almost buying the w200, but I'm sure now! Thank you!

  • @narutouzumaki1550 Not sure I would say "better", but certainly as good if not better. It really depends on your needs. The Kodak offers a 720p/60fps mode that might be good if you plan to slow down video during editing. But, I really like the Samsung's built-in USB connector. Video quality outdoors is about the same, but the Samsung is better in low-light.

  • Great review,

it is better than Kodak ZX5?
