Perfect?

Does this guy's perfect world not include birth defects, the fact that there are few places where humans can survive in the universe, cancer, disease,.war, violence, deceit, hypocrisy, psychopathy, supernovae and their destruction. I listed a lot of stuff that is anything but perfect.

I don't know why it is but the way you word you arguments is exactly how I think but am unable to verbalise. You are a great voice for atheist everywhere. I know it is unreasonable but I think all believers should be forced to listen to what you have to say.

I'm barely 2 minutes in and I'm already tired of this kid. Most especially because he reminds me of Bill O'Reilly. "Tide goes in, tide goes out" "we breathe in, plants breathe out". It's Bill's long lost son!

The world is perfect? From what I can see, the world is a gloriously absurd shitstorm of spectacular chaos. Which is why evolution is the only plausible explanation... because static life forms would not survive the tumult for very long at all.

I still cant get my head around the fact that in this day and age- 2012 for fucks sake- creationists still exists-still spouting ignorance and superstition and incorrect assumption so absurd it boggles the mind- what are we going to do about these people? Theyre unreachable, uneducatable, you cant reason with them at all theyre so irrational and refuse to accept proven fact-I mean just what the fuck are we going to about these deluded morons?????????

AngelHairdo has a point... too bad his hair covers it.
I whince when I hear the arguments put forward by creationists--because just a few years ago, I made some of the exact same ones. Never underestimate the power of woeful ignorance--it's one reason I am anti-theist--who knows what direction my life could have taken had I been encouraged to study science, instead of having it explained to me through creationist filters, then warned against the teachers who would try to turn me into an atheist. Who would have thought the Bible would do that.

@Manifestatheist Congratulations of finding your way through it. I'm sure it wasn't easy.

Thelivingdinosaur,
Thank you for an excellent video response. I am rather concerned about Angelhairdo though - this young man has some serious issues. Also, has he even taken a single science class? I doubt it. Being an American, I am concerned about the level of science education in this country. I teach physics and do my best to introduce them to the beauty of science. But I have to take in the students I'm given. Believe me, I've noticed the standards have declined over the past years

@LoopQuantumGravity1 Not that it's any consolation, but standards were slipping back in Britain before I left 10 years ago and I assume have continued to do so. Back there it was all down to politicians having the brilliant idea that they could improve standards by making tests and curricula easier and therefore starting a vicious downward spiral. I was lucky to finish school just before this started. I've heard a similar thing happened here (perhaps with more religion thrown in).
