Better than...organized crime? Not by much. Fairly? If by fair you mean telling a quite elaborate lie to gull the masses into handing over their hard earned cash for motivational tripe. That lie, of course, is that the wealth held by Yager, Britt, et al, is from the movement of product, when in fact it is from the sale of that same motivational tripe
@TheCozybear65 I can fully appreciate that you are an aspirational, ambitious and worthwhile person. But you are mistaken in your choice of "vehicle" to drive your ambition.
It's your freedom of choice to a) Buy into the "Dream" by purchasing motivational fixes on a regular basis that blind you to the reality of your chosen business associations or b) conduct due diligence as any business-minded enterpreneur would, into their chosen involvement.
@steveh777ify many people get rich in Amway. Its a better method of helping people fairly. there is a profit sharing infrastructure within the "plan". Corporate America and wall street should adopt a similar system , in the way profits are shared. There , employees would be more motivated to work harder, and , by law, the 1% income earners would have to oblige to the bonus structure system. that would apply to every business including McDoonalds, Wal mart, and anywhere employees are hired
@TheCozybear65 Yes. I understand completely. I'm in the UK and we have similar issues. That's not the point, however.
Amway is NOT a response to any percieved lack of opportunity, nor to wage-slavery within a Capitalist, exploitist system. Amway is NOT a solution...just an escalation of the problem. Do you think the billionaire Van Andel or De Voss family give a flying f**k about "free enterprise". They don't....only in their own corporate interests.
When I saw her speak, she said something like: "Women's lib. is the most Satanic influence in the world today." Dexter said AIDS was "the devil taking his own." They have a funny sort of Christianity. I heard Dexter Yager go from saying he wasn't one of those turn the other cheek types to endorsing a literal interpretation of the creation story. Someone on one of those tapes, I believe it was Bill Britt, said you should divorce your spouse if they didn't want to be part of the business.
"How lovely you are in my sight..." I reckon God needs a trip to the optometrist.

"many people get rich in Amway"
many people get rich playing the lottery, too.
