Yeah all that noise it, is a reduction in the power. Birmingham hasn't got the longest of runways so an aircraft like a 767 needs to use quite a lot of power to get off the ground, but then they can reduce it abit once they're off.

The lift on the wings is amazing, but you can tell at the start that they are full with fuel as they are realy droopy!!

The strange sounds are the pilots reducing the loads on the engines they only use max power to get you of the ground for a short period of time, once airbourne then its around 85% of the power!! once in cruise there probley only using around 45% power!!

@Goair18 It was great! Especially for someone who loves aircraft :) I didnt get bored at all really, the inflight entertainment was fantastic and the flight was 10 hours 45 mins :) I can hardly remember the flight back due to the fact it was a night flight, its a very strange feeling :D
