A Comparison of Crime and Punishment in the Bible to Crime and Punishment in the Qur'an and the Hadith Literature.

CATEGORIES, NOT CATAGORIES, yeah I know!

Apologies for the weird format - I was experimenting with HD.

  • Isn't the lashings pointless if they are going to execute you?

  • @finderfinder100

You would think so, wouldn't you? But who am I to contend with the logic of the Messenger of God :P

  • @ramio1983

The Bible and the Qur’ān & hadīths both mandate horrible punishments for bullshit crimes – the latter just proscribe death in a few less circumstances. In most cases, they’re pretty-much the same. Yes, the Qur’an is more advanced in a number of cases, but mostly they proscribe similar punishments. Thusly, my analysis still stands.

As for the title, dude – youtube titles need to be short and snappy. That has nothing to do with anything - the real title is displayed in the video.

  • None of the books appear to be harsher even though they are centuries apart? Really? Bible says Any person that curses his parents should be put to death (Leviticus 20:9). Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. (Leviticus 20:27) . Women that protect their husbands whilst they are fighting shall have their hand chopped off. (Deuteronomy 25:11-12). If you have a rebellious son, publically get him stoned by your community. Deutrtonomy. 21-18-21). Qurans equivolent please?

  • @ramio1983

Well, kill rebellious kids has no equal, I already covered practicianers of the occult in my video, and as for amputation, the Qur'an proscribes that for theft. As of such, my initial analysis still stands, I think - they're pretty much the same, but the Islamic texts are a little more advanced

  • @Lorientalist You also fail to address death for anyone arrogant to their priest. Death for striking a parent. Death for an ENTIRE town which has ONE disbeliever. Death for ANYONE that works on a Sabbath. Who are you kidding man, honestly? You stand by your analysis.? I call your analysis a fail, sorry to say.

  • @ramio1983

Ok, so let me get this straight: The Bible orders death for Priest disrespectors, Fornicators, Adulterers, Pagans, Blasphemers, Apostates, Sabbath-Breakers, Witches, Homosexuals; The Qur'an and Hadith order death for Fornicators, Adulterers, Heretics, Apostates, Pagans and Homosexuals. How exactly does that in invalidate my analysis? They're mostly neck-to-neck, but the Bible is worse. Where did I go wrong?

  • @unassumption you said: Jesus says not a letter of the law is changed by his coming, though he contradicts himself on that

Not true. Jesus said "I am not come to destroy(law), but to fulfil."

To "fulfill" does not mean to destroy/abolish. If you owe someone $ and you pay them, you did not DESTROY/ABOLISH your debt, you paid it. Christ did this ie the cross.

The promise was given 430yrs B4 the law. So, it is the LAW that can not disannul the promise; not the other way arnd. Read Gal ch.3-4

  • @alydamarte good comment. That's what I was going to say as well. The OT punishments are no longer binding. However, the Quran & Hadiths still stand and are the current "marching" orders of all Muslims. Muslims follow what Muhammad said and Christians follow JESUS' COMMANDMENTS as laid out in the NT.

    God Bless

  • @finderfinder100 Isn't it the lashings pointless if you are going to burn in hell forever and tortured forever...

  • Heres the problem with this video non of the verses pertain to Christianity but to Judaism “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD. Jer 31:31-32

this is an everlasting covenant that cant be changed

  • Moral of the story? The Abrahamic religions are the perfect moral compass. :P

  • Quran is the newest version of all the books of God. Which is presented to human at the time when the start of Global village was realised thats y Quran fulfills all the needs of today's Global village as well as in future.
