The standard of Ice Dancing here between the top two Ice Dance couples are so high compared to 2006 Torino. Their Carmen surpasses Navka and Kostamarov by miles!

А вы уверенны что Плисецкая видела этот танец? Зная ее отношение к наполенению, смыслу и философии в искустве, она бы выбрала Крылову и Овсянникова с их интерпретацией Кармен. Навка и Костомаров хороши, но Крылова с Овсянниковым все-равно лучше, так-как Анжелика - это Кармен и есть.

I really like this choreography because it incorporates moves not seen in other Carmens. Anjelika's body is so flexible, and her moves so fluid. I am guessing she must have studied ballet for many years. And I think she was born with a great gift, and was lucky enough to have the chance to develop it. I wish she had skated longer. Did an injury force her out of competitive skating? I am sure somebody here will know.

Angelika IS Carmen. She is the best acted "Carmen" I've ever seen on ice, and she stayed in character even through the "Kiss and Cry" and scores! However, this deserved the Silver behind Grischuk & Platov. G & P's performance was more advanced on all levels than this.
