detained for copwatching in Berkeley

On June 30th 2006 myself (Jacob Crawford) and a fellow copwatcher approached a police stop in Berkeley on Harmon and Adeline. Upon arriving Officer Anderson Badge 35 asked me if I wanted to come closer and give him my ID. He told me I was biking on the sidewalk, which we were not. I told him I would not give him ID and we continued to observe. Throughout the rest of the stop Anderson taunted me, warning me that if I stuck around I would find myself being detained. Following the stop Anderson unlawfully detained me. This is the third time in less then a week that Berkeley Copwatchers have been stopped after observing a police stop. Is this genuine law enforcement or is this selective enforcement of petty laws to dissuade copwatchers from watching the police?
