This video demonstrates the RPM reduction of the rotor with equivalent amount of energy being extracted from the motor (as experiment part 3) but without the "trick" of PF ( Power Factor) via capacitors in series with the driver coils.

My measurement may not be very accurate or my concepts could be very wrong, but I think I can clearly demonstrate that even a very small amount of energy extracted WILL indeed demonstrate Lenz's law which therefore will impact substantially the speed of the motor.

  • So a normal DC path load slows the rotor down.

    Interesting. So we should go with your AC capacitor extraction circuit from the last video !
